Cookie Clicker

One click makes one cookie. A few hundred clicks later, you own a small army of grandmas, farms, and factories baking for you while your finger takes a break. That’s the whole hook, and it’s absurdly hard to close the tab once the numbers start climbing.

Cookie Clicker is the game that turned clicking into a genre. You tap the giant cookie to bake, spend your stash on buildings that produce cookies per second on their own, then buy upgrades that make every building and every click stronger. Early progress crawls. Before long the screen is full of numbers with more commas than you thought existed, and your buildings outproduce anything your hand could manage.

The layer that keeps people hooked is the randomness: golden cookies appear out of nowhere and trigger short, massive bonuses when clicked. Between those lucky hits, there’s always one more upgrade teasingly close, so the “one more click” instinct never quite dies.

How to Play

Click the big cookie to bake by hand. Spend cookies on buildings — grandmas, farms, mines, factories — each generating steady cookies per second. Work through the upgrade panel to multiply click power and building output; cheap early upgrades usually pay for themselves fast.

Golden cookies pop onto the screen at random. Click them the instant you see one — frenzy and lucky bonuses can multiply your production for a stretch of time. Your empire keeps baking while you’re away, so it pays to come back and collect.

Tips

  • Grab golden cookies as soon as they appear; the temporary multipliers are where the real income lives.
  • Check the upgrade tab before buying another building — a small multiplier often beats one more grandma.
  • Leave the game running in a background tab and check back later to spend a fat pile of cookies in one go.

Use the player above and start baking. The grandmas won’t organize themselves.
